Our Firm is in permanent contact with the Secretariat of the Treasury and Public Credit, Bank of Mexico, the National Banking and Securities Commission, the Banking Savings Protection Institute and the Mexican Stock Exchange. Sometimes, we have participated in the preparation and review of bills, preliminary regulations and other provisions applicable on the matter, including those related to the establishing and set up of the Mexican Derivatives Market (MexDer) and its Clearance Chamber.

Our attorneys are thoroughly familiar with the provisions applicable to the performance of financial markets in Mexico, and have participated in diverse operations designing complex and innovative financial schemes in accordance with our clients’ needs. We advise all kinds of financial intermediaries and participants in the Mexican and international markets, including investment funds, brokerage firms, mutual funds management companies, mutual funds, insurance companies and credit institutions, commission agents and agents of derivative instruments, as well as different Mexican issuers leaders in the Mexican and foreign financial markets.

Continuously, our Firm is actively participating in diverse operations involving the National Banking and Securities Commission, the Mexican Stock Exchange, the S.D. Indeval, S.A. de C.V., Institution for the Deposit of Securities, as well as the Mexican Derivatives Market (MexDer). Similarly, the Firm advices suppliers and consumers of all kinds of products and derivative instruments, including interest rates, foreign currency, equity, as well as credit derivatives, repurchases and securities financing.

We represent issuers, underwriters, credit rating agencies, agents and trustees in a variety of offerings and other transactions with securities and other financial instruments in Mexico, the United States of America and Europe.

More recently, our advising in relation to the corporate governance practices has been fundamental for our clients to be in the lead in relation to other participants in the financial markets, as well as to guaranty compliance with the legal provisions in our country and abroad, particularly with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of the United States of America.

Our Firm is front-runner in Mexico in programs of securitizing assets, since it has been involved in the design and implementation of said financial schemes. Likewise, we participate actively with diverse credit rating agencies in the analysis of the legal configuration of structured financings.
